The Story of Revival – Part 2

Revival as we know it is not an event but a Season of refreshing and series of encounters that come from the Presence of the lord, permeating a place and causing the hearts of Men to be returned to their First Love. This is when Heaven invades a land and births the presence of God which in turn puts forth several other fruits and realities that are manifest in Heaven.

Revival can be summarized by the words of Jesus in the book of Matthew 6:10 “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven”

Revival is summarized in these words “AS IT IS IN HEAVEN”.
Continuing this Exposition, we would be looking at the second Phase in the Story of Revival

               THE UPPER ROOM..

Acts 1:12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey. 

13 And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying: Peter, James, John, and Andrew; Philip and Thomas; Bartholomew and Matthew; James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot; and Judas the son of James. 

14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.
Whenever there needs to be a breakout from the THRONE ROOM as seen in Part one, there must be an accurate structure on earth to mirror that which is in heaven. The pattern that God wants to use to remodel this fallen world is “AS IT IS IN HEAVEN”. 
Now in the book of Luke 24:49, An utterance was released from the throne room and this utterance was responsible to the delivery of the wisdom needed to Bring about the Sending forth of the Rod of God’s strength (Psalm 110:2) on the day of Pentecost.

This is the wisdom of “The UPPER ROOM”
Beloved, if we are ever going to see revival the we must learn to tarry in the UPPER ROOM. Historical records shows that the 120 where there for about ten days; doing what? THE UPPER ROOM is the place of waiting, praying, studying, fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit. In the UPPER ROOM , you must shut out the world and look STERNLY upon the lord, waiting for His quickening, for there is a quickening of Gods Spirit, an enduement of Power and Unction from in High.

You cannot escape the UPPER ROOM if you must see revival. Revival is not by Mistake it is by “The UPPER ROOM encounter” . 
The great Revivals around the world (Wales, Azusa street, Scotland to mention a few) by Men like Charles G. Finney, Smith Wigglesworth, e.t.c were preceded by times of waiting in God’s Presence.

There are very little revivals this days because we have become lazy and cold believers. We no longer pray, fast or fellowship with God’s word as the early church did. If we must see Revival, we must go back to the UPPER ROOM. That’s where it all began from and we must tarry in the UPPER ROOM until The full deposit of God’s release is come.

Let us return to the UPPER ROOM and we would see more revivals..
